There is another interesting show for people of all ages this coming holiday season. The Nutcracker Ballet Show is usually held starting from November until Christmas. The show of the dancing gypsies will surely bring excitement and fun for families, children and friends.

The Nutcracker Ballet show was adapted from the book of E.T.A. Hoffman. The music was arranged by Russian composer Tchaikovsky and was originally choreographed by Marius Petipa and Lev Ivanov in 1891.

Their first stint began at 1892 at the Marinsky Theater of Russia, also known as the center of Kirov Ballet.

Numerous performances by highly talented and trained ballet dancers are showcased in this annual show incorporating ballet dance moves into a form of acting. However, the act became more popular when George Balanchine’s virtuoso choreographs were created which soon gained recognition as the ‘Nutcracker of all Nutcrackers’. Finally during the 1940’s, the show was introduced to the Americans, given the opportunity to the San Francisco Ballet to perform a full length act.

Seeing ballet dancers in tune to their own moves with compassion and revel makes the show enjoyable to watch. One can never be disappointed once they have witnessed the show.
